DK Knowledge
We pride ourselves at being at the forefront of subjects like science, history, botany, and natural history. But we also want to make seriously beautiful, giftable books. We achieve this through intelligent illustrations, captivating photography, illuminating text and inspiring design. And on top of that, we create stunning packages readers will want to touch, hold and keep.
To create our books, we collaborate with leading experts from across the globe – from historians and archaeologists to economists and mathematicians – who are at the cutting edge of their respective fields. We also partner with well-known imprimaturs and brands such as the RSPB, The Smithsonian in the US and the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh. When tackling complex subjects we are increasingly working with local experts and authors to serve as editor-in-chief or contribute forewords. Notable authors we have worked with include David Olusoga, Chris Packham and Alice Roberts and we are actively seeking more experts and authors within our areas of publishing.
My aim is to usher in a new era of reference publishing at DK and to empower my editors to find the very best field-leading experts and innovative writers and authors.
