Celebrating DK's Silver Jubilee with a Green Touch: A Tree Plantation Drive for a Sustainable Future

As we continue the journey of DK Delhi's Silver Jubilee year, we find ourselves filled with gratitude, not only for the milestones we've achieved but also for the beautiful planet that sustains us. In this spirit of thankfulness and commitment to environmental stewardship, we joined hands with the "Give Me Trees Foundation" to organize a tree plantation drive that embodies our dedication to sustainability.

On 25th September, our DK Delhi family came together, representing various departments, to participate in this meaningful initiative. With shovels, saplings, and a shared vision, we converged at an open green space, courtesy of the Give Me Trees Foundation, to make a positive contribution. The heartwarming collaboration among our colleagues demonstrated our commitment to giving back to Mother Nature, and it was a testament to the values that bind us as a company.

One of the things that stood out in the course of the activity was the innovative use of used milk and curd packets for planting saplings. In our endeavour to reduce waste and promote sustainability, we collected these packets in specially designated boxes within our office premises ahead of the event. They were later repurposed by the resourceful Delhi team to sow seeds in. The participants were also provided with saplings to plant in the green space, designated to become a forest in the coming years.

The tree plantation drive not only helped increase green cover but also served as a reminder of the power of collective action. By taking a step towards a greener future, we not only honour our past achievements but also set a sustainable course for the years ahead.
