5 Practical Pieces of Star Wars™ Wisdom To Use in Your Real Life

5 Practical Pieces of Star Wars™ Wisdom To Use in Your Real Life

Whether you’re a human, a Hutt, or Yoda himself, one fact remains true: life is no walk in the park (even for Wookiees!).

Treat yourself to some top-notch life advice from the Star Wars galaxy and Star Wars Made Easy. Remember: everyone’s a Padawan at this strange thing we call life!

Here are some relatable lessons to post up at your work desk or scratch onto your podracer cockpit controls…

1. If it’s worth having, it’s worth working hard for.

You might be climbing the career ladder or climbing up the Jedi ranks—both feats take talent, persistence, and courage!

From Luke to Han to Leia, the rebels know better than anyone that defeating the Empire doesn’t come easy. While everyone sometimes get frustrated by the challenges of life, it can help to remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day (and becoming an efficient bounty hunter doesn’t happen overnight!).

2. Never go to bed angry.

Human relationships are challenging things, straight across the galaxy. While many channel the light side of the Force, others, like Anakin Skywalker, allow the dark side’s rage to consume them!

Never forget that forgiveness is a powerful thing. You don’t want to end up like Vader!

3. Don’t judge a book (or a Binks) by its cover.

Jawas, Ewoks, Gungans, and droids—the galaxy is a crowded place! If Star Wars teaches us anything, it’s the importance of working together despite differences. After all, your perfect evil-defeating partner might be a seven-foot Wookiee with a lovable purr.

Keep an open mind as you adventure through life, and allow the universe to surprise you! Friends and fun experiences are waiting for you on the unlikeliest of planets…

4. Never leave the house without an umbrella (or if you’re a Jedi, a lightsaber).

Courage and ingenuity can get you pretty far in life—and some trusty tools never hurt either! Whether it’s a jetpack or macrobinoculars, the heroes of Star Wars have always had a bit of help from their gadgets and tools. (Even swashbuckling Han Solo knows the power of being prepared).

Aspiring galactic adventurers, take note: pack your bags wisely, and be ready for anything!

5. Never underestimate the power of hope.

Settled for less than you wanted to? Discouraged by a setback or defeat? Then Star Wars has something to inspire you. Holograms, happabores, and hyperdrive aside, the key ingredient in every Star Wars film is very simple: hope! (After all, it’s what rebellions are built on.)

Star Wars’ unlikely heroes know better than anyone what it takes to defeat an Empire. Even when the odds are against you, though, some self-belief and the faith of your family (both born and chosen) can make it all possible in the end.
