Apps and eBooks
I’ve never used an eBook, what do I need to know?
eBooks are digital files that can be used on computer screens, eReaders and mobile devices such as Tablets and mobile phones. They can be downloaded from the Internet or via a device. eBooks are interactive and often have enhanced features in the form of extra content.
How can I buy an eBook?
You can buy DK eBooks at the websites of a number of online retailers. Choose the title you want and make sure you have already downloaded the appropriate software to read it. Follow the instructions on the retailer site to purchase and download the file. To download an eBook you will need a device that can be connected to the Internet. This might be a PC, laptop, handheld computer, eReader, tablet device or smartphone. In some cases the device may already have eBook reading software and a gateway to a library of eBooks. In other cases you may need to install and activate eBook reading software.
The eBook I want to buy has a link to the retailer site but when I select it, the eBook is not available, where can I purchase it?
In most cases, where an eBook is available for a title, it will be available from all major retailers. However, there are some instances where we are unable to provide certain types of eBook to all of our retail partners. If the eBook you are looking for is not available from your chosen retailer then please select another.
What is the returns policy for eBooks?
The returns policy will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Purchase on the retailer site. Please refer to these for more information.
