I have a passion for igniting a love of non fiction in children aged 3-7. This is a joyful stage of a child’s reading development, where they are just embarking on their learning journey and are hungry for information about the world. I also love thinking up new and creative ways to get non fiction in the hands of children who find reading difficult. Opening a book should be fun, regardless of whether you are 3 or 13. As a publisher, I find this enormously rewarding and ultimately inspirational.
I would like to receive submissions on non-fiction on any topic for either 3-5 or 5-7 years that is exceptional and engaging. I want to see a passion for the subject and for communicating information to young children who are at the very start of their learning journeys.
A book I’m proud of…
I am very proud to have published What If... You Didn't Make Snot? by Emma Young. This is the first in a series of books that aims to give encyclopedic information to a child who, for a variety of reasons, may find conventional encyclopedias difficult to access. It is anarchic and bold, at times gross, but always accessible, informative and fun.
