Canelo
I oversee trade strategy across Canelo’s publishing divisions—bringing over 20 years of publishing, publicity, and marketing experience across commercial fiction and non-fiction to our growth plans and market positioning. Bestseller lists, major trade presence, and long-term backlist growth are always a joy to deliver, but the real thrill comes from shaping commercial strategies that elevate an author's entire works and brand. Over my career, I’ve had the privilege of driving high-impact campaigns for many major fiction and non-fiction names particularly in crime and women’s fiction. Joining Canelo in 2025 has allowed me to bring that energy, commercial vision, and retail drive to a publishing division now freshly empowered by the global reach and stellar reputation of DK.
I also head-up the Canelo and Canelo Crime imprints. One of my focuses on the crime list will be working with previously self-published authors, including JD Kirk, Simon McCleave and Sarah A. Denzil, bringing my campaign knowledge to supplement their amazing self-made successes.
Titles I’m excited by for 2027 and that showcase the breadth of our fiction list include Jane (Hera) - a historical gothic thriller about the real-life woman who was both the muse of Gabriel Rosetti and the wife of William Morris, contemporary fiction novel Music for the Samosa Generation (Hera) by debut author Natalie Rania Willbe, the winner of the 2026 Comedy Women in Print Award and Kidnap the President (Canelo) by Brian Klein. I hope you’ll enjoy reading these and many of the other amazing books on our list.
