2026 has officially been designated The National Year of Reading.

This is a major, UK-wide campaign to address the steep and sustained decline in reading among children, young people and adults.

This is a defining moment for literacy in the UK, and an important one for the publishing industry. DK will be playing an active role throughout the year, supporting national activity and using our reach, expertise and creativity to help re-ignite a love of reading in all its forms.
