At DK Children’s we are passionate about making groundbreaking books that inspire young readers worldwide. 

It is a list that encompasses books for children of all ages, across a diverse range of genres, formats and approaches. For our tiniest readers, we have tactile, colourful and innovative board books, including our bestselling Pop-Up Peekaboo series, before stepping up to lively and entertaining picture books. Our heartland is highly visual non fiction and reference, with series such as our Anthologies, encyclopedias, and world myths breaking the mould, combining innovative use of illustration and photography with engaging, expertly written text.  Our hugely talented team of inhouse editors are always on the lookout for new voices, to add to the amazing authors we already work with – Robert Winston, Fern Riddell, Jess French, Dr Punam Krishan and Ben Hoare to name a few –  and our creative team thrives on tackling new subject areas and new design approaches, building on the rich vein of unparalleled non fiction expertise DK is celebrated for. 

In 2025 we launched our children’s imprint, DK flip, dedicated to publishing brilliant fiction across chapter books, middle grade, teen and YA. These books allow readers to immerse themselves in captivating narratives from established authors such as Cornelia Funke, Kes Gray and Elodie Harper and exciting launches from Ollie George Clark, Pippa Dunn and A.A. Wilson. Our ambition is to grow DK flip to become a standard bearer for Children’s fiction worldwide.
