Dr Matt Lodder is a Senior Lecturer in Art History at the University of Essex, in the UK, specializing in the history of tattooing and body modification. He has authored major books including Painted People and Tattoos (Yale UP). He is also an international broadcaster, exhibition curator, and host of the award-winning podcast Beneath the Skin.
