He has written more than 30 books to date, many for the RHS and National Trust, and including Grow Your Groceries (March 2025), which hit the Sunday Times Top 10 in its first week of publication.With over 2 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, Simon makes gardening accessible to all, sharing easy, low-cost tips for gardening and growing in small spaces. As a former BBC gardening researcher and producer, Simon loves to include entertaining storytelling in his informative content and he was recently recognised by the Garden Media Guild as their Social Media Influencer of the Year (2025). Simon has also managed some of Britain's most stunning gardens, including RHS Wisley, Agatha Christie's Greenway, and Painshill. When he isn't gardening, Simon enjoys canoeing on the River Dart and exploring Dartmoor with his two dogs, River and Beanie.
