With the beginning of the new year comes the excitement of new releases! From eagerly anticipated sequels by beloved authors to debut novels from emerging voices, our publishing calendar promises a feast for bookworms of all ages. To help navigate the coming year's most compelling releases, we asked our staff which books they’re most excited about in 2025.

The Green Kingdom

View Book
It’s such a thrill to be able to share DK’s first fiction title with readers and we’re so lucky to have the incredible Cornelia Funke writing The Green Kingdom. I fell in love with Caspia and loved the intrigue and mystery of the riddles she finds in her New York holiday home – this is just the sort of book I’d have enjoyed as a young reader.

Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls (2025 New Edition)

View Book
When Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls first originated as a Kickstarter in 2016, it soon took the publishing world (and the whole world) by storm. This was such an important piece of mission-driven publishing: inspiring a generation of Rebel Girls and starting an inspirational publishing list which has since seen 11 million sales worldwide. So it’s a huge privilege to be working on the first new edition of this children’s classic, where our teams have recast and updated the book for a whole new generation of Rebel Girls. There are 22 entirely new inspirational profiles, 37 new beautiful portraits and the biographies are fully up to date with the latest stories and achievements. And just wait until you see the cover in person – I can’t wait to see our silver moon shining out across bookshops from March.

North Coast 500

View Book
I'm really excited about the upcoming North Coast 500 because it offers something different to the other guides out there. This book shines a light on the locals who are doing good things for their communities and the environment – everyone from Ian the fisherman, who takes visitors out to sea to teach them about sustainable fishing, to Joanna, the owner of the cozy Store Cafe, who has created a thriving community hub for locals. It makes driving the route all the more special to know you're giving back to the hardworking locals and enjoying the environment responsibly!
