“I AM THE EDITOR OF MULTIPLE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING TITLES FOR DK.”

Alexander Rigby, Executive Editor, DK Alpha

In addition to cookbooks, I commission projects in the nature, travel, art, and memoir categories, and would like to receive more submissions in these areas.

As the Social Media Chair of the Penguin Random House LGBTQ+ Network, I curate the network’s official Instagram channel (@prhlgbtq) and connect readers with queer books published by PRH. For seven years I oversaw the literary magazine Allegory Ridge, a publication I founded to showcase the creative works of the millennial generation across several different visual and written categories.

I received an MFA from Stonecoast at the University of Southern Maine where I worked closely with Morgan Talty, Aaron Hamburger, Susan Conley, and Liz Hand. I’m an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking in the wilderness. My debut children's book, The Nature of Our National Parks, will be published by Tra Publishing in March 2026.

I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with my husband and our Portuguese Water Dog, Copper Atticus.

Books I’m proud of…

I am the editor of multiple New York Times-bestselling titles for DK, including Baking Yesteryear, Life on Svalbard, Gay Science, and HealthyGirl Kitchen, among others, all of which I am very proud of. In addition to cookbooks, I commission projects in the nature, travel, art, and memoir categories, and would like to receive more submissions in these areas.

A book I wish I’d published…

A book I wish I could have acquired is Leave Only Footprints: My Acadia-to-Zion Journey Through Every National Park by Conor Knighton.
