Editor-in-Chief David Williams is the wine correspondent for the Observer, the deputy editor of The World of Fine Wine, and a columnist at The Wine Merchant. He is a regular contributor to publications including the Guardian, Decanter, and Waitrose Drinks, with more than 25 years of experience in wine journalism and publishing. The author of two books, 500 Wines for 100 Occasions and A Little Course in Wine Tasting, he has also worked as an editor for Wine Opus, and the Finest Wine series. He has judged at a number of international wine competitions, and is the co-founder and chairman of the annual competition for wines in the UK's independent wine shops, The Wine Merchant Top 100.
