DK TRAVEL
I’m seeking submissions that share this spirit: nature memoirs, travel writing and stories that offer new ways of understanding and appreciating landscape and place. Whether it’s narrative non-fiction for our DK RED imprint or illustrated non-fiction for the Travel list, if it offers a unique perspective on how we inhabit and engage with the world – and makes me see a place differently – I want to read it.
A book I’m proud of…
An acquisition I’m especially proud of is STORM, a captivating exploration of wild weather by storm chaser and YouTuber Hank Schyma. Hank’s storm chasing footage is something to behold, and this book brings together his truly remarkable photography, adventure stories and the fascinating science behind storms. It's a front-row seat to the raw power of nature and how we connect with it.

A book I wish I’d published…
A book that I love, and wish I'd published, is Weird Walk, a journey into the hidden, uncanny edges of the British landscape – stone circles, medieval cities, enchanted places. Blending folklore, geography and history, it’s a wonderful reminder that the landscape is alive with stories – if you know where to look.
